Mustique island is surrounded by pristine white beaches and crystal clear aquamarine waters. Macaroni Beach is perhaps the most famous of Mustique's nine beaches and is situated on the east coast of the island. Other popular beaches on the Atlantic or Caribbean are Endeavour, Lagoon, L'Ansecoy, Pasture Bay and Simplicity, several have picnic hut facilities. Some beaches are connected along the coastline by rustic stone paths. Picnics are greatly enjoyed on Mustique. Picnic areas are located on Lagoon, Macaroni and Pasture beaches and are available for private parties. Barbeque grills are located at Lagoon and at Macaroni. All picnic areas should be reserved. On the calm Caribbean side, Lagoon and Endeavor Bay beckon with warm, crystalline waters-most resplendent at sunset. On the rougher Atlantic coast, Macaroni and Pasture Bay are best for sunrises, with their enticing, crashing waves. Macaroni Bay - The most popular beaches on the island, good swimming. Features a covered picnic area. Britannia Bay offers good snorkelling and swimming. This is the only anchorage for visiting yachts. Endeavour Bay offers good swimming and snorkeling. Gelliceaux Bay is a marine conservation area and also a great snorkeling location. L'Ansecoy Bay is a nice wide beach. Offshore lies the jutting hulk of the French liner Antilles, which went aground in 1971. Lagoon Bay is a small picturesque beach with good swimming.
